    Not for the time being.

4k monitors uses a ridiculous amount of electricity.

    I've no 4k content.

Maybe in a couple of years, once the tech has matured and prices have come down, and they do Freesync, IPS (or similar) and more as well as 4K. TBH I would be happy with something a bit more than 1080p in a 24" monitor, e.g., 2560x1600 in a 24" monitor would be nice.

Well whilst 4k isn't a fad, the current stance I feel, has that air about it. Much like the 1st gen uptake of new tech, no reason to get it now until everything else finishes playing catchup.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No time soon. No cash and the current setup does 1080p fine (And to be honest I often find myself gaming on budget laptop nowadays at 720p!)
    Trust

Re: Features - QOTW: Will you be upgrading to a 4K monitor?

Absolutely, as soon as I can get one which has:

    27"-32" curved display
Decent colour & contrast; (horizontal) viewing angle is a bit of a moot point with the curve
    >90Hz refresh rate (I'll trust Valve, and >90FPS @ 4K is going to be a struggle anyway) together with a DiplayPort revision to facilitate it
    G-Sync support

For under £1500. In the meantime, I don't see the point - my single GTX 970 would struggle to drive it, there isn't a lot of 4K content available to stream and I haven't got the storage available to store it locally - and I'm happier waiting. My bank account is, too.

What I'm waiting for is for my wallet to mature, not just tech. Seriously, no new tech is worth it. It's better to wait for a year or two and buy a mature product at a lower price. Patience pays off literally.

Next monitor I get will be a 21:9 IPS (or even OLED) panel but thats not going to be for a long time as its hard to justify upgrading from my Dell Ultrasharp 27 & 24 combo.
