Re: Ubisoft unveils imminent PC platformer game Grow Home

Let me guess, I'm going to have to climb towers to unlock parts of the map and discover collectables?

Edit: LMAO I hadn't even read the article yet but:

Grow Home isn't just about climbing, and will include a good deal of vertical exploration on nearby floating islands (platforms) to allow players to search for new locations, power ups and encounter strange plants and animals.
    Oh Ubisoft.

I do think this might be fun, but Ubisoft is Ubisoft...why make a PC game that makes a controller feel natural in game play? Poor Ubisoft still not figuring things out.

Even DOOM2 looks better than this!

Re: Ubisoft unveils imminent PC platformer game Grow Home

As wretched as Ubisoft have on oh so many games, from both an optimization and draconian DRM points of view, it has to be said that their UbiArt Framework does produce some rather decent games (thinking mainly of their recent 2D games).

Also, controls settings that allow for seamless switching between (remappable) keyboard and gamepad should be a must for the majority of games that can played on both peripherals.
