    Looks like they are following CryENGINE - I wonder if the uptake of the new generation engines has been somewhat slow??

    Free is always nice but it was hardly expensive before hand ($19 p/m). I can see this as more of a move to get people to learn it / play with it

    5% royalty isn't free...ofcourse u can play with it for free..

    Sounds like a great cost structure to me. Makes sense and is very simple.

    They used to charge $19 p/m and then 5% on sales. They have basically dropped the monthly sub.

    Overall I guess it will even out and then eventually make them more money as the point was to get more people using it, to get more things made, to get more things sold, to get more 5% cuts
