The symmetrical design is certainly welcome for southpaws. I use Logitech mice and love them, but their mice are all very sculpted for right handed players.

The Diamondback would've been an instant buy for me if it wasn't for what I'm guessing is still the mandatory use of the Synapse 2.0 Cloud-Based Driver Software.

Yet another Razer is dying on me, and because I got it from Micro Direct I'm screwed. And they won't respond to me on facebook. They truly are the Apple of PC peripherals

Tunnah I was on my 4th DeathAdder, the left or right buttons would fail after 7 months of playing games. I got a Zowie EC1 Evo and its the best thing ever.

Well I had the Imperator first, which was the best mouse I ever had, perfect fit and extra buttons. It died, and stupidly I went and bought another (it died at 14 months, I didn't check the warranty, assumed it was a year, it's 2). The next one died in 8 months. The one after that, I got a credit note because they had no Imperators in so I got the Deathadder and I HATE it. Almost immediately I knew it was garbage - the wheel squeaked horrendously. Now it's on it's last legs with the buttons not working too.

When this dies I'm switching to another brand I'm not giving these ******s any more of my money, I'll look into the Zowie

Overclockers.co.uk sell zowie mice but EC1 Evo is an old model there are much better models now, its size is similar to the deathadder, also check out Zowiegear website for more spec.
The other mouse I heard good things about is Mionix Noas 8200 & Roccat XTD. I also have the Roccat XTD its a beast. but it really comes down to personal choice Roccat XTD has nice features Funky lighting. But plain and simple Zowie 'Feels better' check out the reviews for some of them. Good luck.

Re: Razer outs refreshed Diamondback and Orochi mice

Only issue I've had with razer mice (and indeed keyboards) is the rubber coating wearing off over time. Admittedly 7 years of time, but no rubber coating and would have been no issue. Using a device with rubber that's going sticky ain't nice

Oh I am all about the understated mice. Those ones that look like the turds of a stealth fighter are terrible. I'd feel like a right turnip owning one of them ha
