QOTW: Which anti-virus do you use, if any?

I've used AVG Free for over ten years now.
The latest version is starting to annoy me with the amount of pop-ups, but I haven't got around to researching the alternatives yet.

Avast for some years then just Security Essentials for years but now it's been left to rot I've tried Avast again. The new bloat is horrible though. It slyly auto-installed an unwanted shopping toolbar on my Edge browser and has the nerve to have a feature for detecting and removing unwanted browser toolbars. Oh the irony.....

God how I wish I'd gotten the free lifetime subscription to MBAM while it lasted!

Might check out BitDefender after the positive comments on this thread...

Windows defender and up to date browser/OS. Use to use AVG/Avast (free versions) but got fed up with the issues. Not had an issue but I am careful what I download/visit...

On Windows 10, I simply have Windows Defender for Realtime Protection while I use Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware for On-Demand Threat Scans. Although, I would have to argue that having common sense is the best way to avoid acquiring malicious files.

Common sense doesn't really have anything to do with it, unless you don't browse the internet ever. I can tell you as a manager of windows defender corporate its not very good at all.

AVG Free. I have this one mainly because it keeps the popups to a minimal and necessary. I also like AVAST or Mcaffe (The "pro" version we have this at work).
