While I'm sure that plenty will subscribe, this holds no draw for me. The whole point of the bundle (for the consumer) is to get a series of games that we don't already own while supporting a good cause. However, as the bundle is lucky dip, you really have no idea what you'll be getting, hence you have no idea what you're subscribing to beside the ideology. I don't subscribe to ideology. It's the same reason I'm not religious.
I love humble bundle - you get some absolute great steals on there whilst giving money to your charity of choice. But they do offer a lot of indie games that I will never play. I don't get around to playing half the games I buy in the Humble Bundle. This doesn't appeal to me because I prefer to pick and choice which bundles based upon the games. Paying $12 a month for random games that could be awful seems a little risky - time will tell.
I'm a big humble bundle purchaser but this just doesn't make sense to me. If a bundle looks good i'll often buy but at usually around the average which is usually around $6. Why would I pay $12 on the off chance they have a game I want? I get it helps a charity but i'd rather just set up regular giving than do this.
im the same $12 is a large gamble for games i may not even like, if it was half the price i would probably gamble it more but then i guess that would lead to lower value games
£7.90 for a blind selection of game? That's not bad - IF they can guarantee they'll be good. I mean, the last few bundles have been okay rather than brilliant.
will probably do the first one just to see what the offer if its nothing for me then i cancel
I've subscribed. While many are put off by the blindfold, that is what has drawn me in. I would subscribe to various loot crates if I wasn't OCD about clutter and spend more time worrying about homing something than enjoying it. This is better for me, at least one recent game, one recent ish and a handful of indie's? Sure why not.... Considering I'll often plunge for the top tier bundle every week or so, now I'll just swap out one I don't like the look of as much.
Many bundles are just duplicating what I have already, so I don't get much value out of them in a lot of cases.
Usually I will buy one for as little as two games.
So there is an appeal to it having games which haven't been featured in other bundles.
I think I will give it a go initially, and then judge how it goes from there.
ME for one
I am tempted to go for it for a month or two, just to try it out.
I have bought so many games from Steam, Humble Bundle, Bundle Stars, GOG etc etc and I play the same few over and over... such a waste, but they were such a good deal lol
I don't mind so much for Humble Bundle as it is for charity, but this $12 thing does strike me as just a little bit too much of a unknown thing... I don't really need more games, and I could donate on a monthly basis to charities with some certainty of where the money goes... I like the concept, but i would need to have a better idea of the contents and value of the bundle.
Also, will I be getting a bunch of Steam keys that I can at least give to others if I don't want them myself... I couldn't quite tell from the blurb - its how i've done it in the past
