It's very refreshing to see the PC version being put first for once. Hats off to Bethesda for this! Can't wait to play the game myself, but that's still a bit off.

I've completed the BOS storyline and racked up 63hrs on the PC version.
Only found 1 bug so far and that was very minor with a clipping issue.

Re: First patch for Fallout 4 to arrive next week

I have been playing for about 47 hours and apart from a few comical glitches, i have had no issues. Plays like a dream and never crashes.

I did manage to adjust my FOV and utilise my ultrawide screen via a few ini tweaks. Hoping that the patch brings this natively. Making the game use my full screen kinda stretches the HUD.

Apart from that, i am loving it.

Re: First patch for Fallout 4 to arrive next week

I've now had the won't start up bug. Screen goes black. Solved by playing in windowed mode for a while. It's an annoying game for me though. The controls and menu system is abysmal. There are 3 keys for exiting: tab, enter and Esc, you can't use WSAD in menus only the arrow keys, short cut keys such as 'm' for map don't toggle the map so you have to press 'm' to get the map up and then Esc to exit which is madness, the crafting, building, modding is very confusing and could have been done far more simply.

Hoping for patches and mods as I'd like to have the damn game set up properly so it's not a pain to navigate. Having said that though it is pretty good. Burning hoards of feral ghouls with Molotov cocktails is fun.

Re: First patch for Fallout 4 to arrive next week

It's worth nothing that you can use "e" instead of enter most of the time (next to WASD rather than on the other side of the keyboard) and you can hold shift to use WASD in building mode though I found that hard to get used to and am still largely using the cursor keys. I have wondered if using an xbox pad would be easier but that seems like the easy way out even if you don't mind using VATS all the time.

aha thanks for that I will use shift WSAD - would have been nice to scroll left and right with mouse left/right wheel click. I think that's the reason why it's not as intuitive as 3 or Vegas, it's been tailored for consoles. I just wish there was a way to customise keys like most other games.
