That seems pretty standard if we're taking the Titan Z price to be $1.5K. Overpriced, sure, but not unusual.

A bit unsure about a 960m and 4k for gaming, if they were going 4K, why not have a option for a 980m.
    And what about power usage.
Although a 4K IPS screen might be liked by other consumers, like photographers maybe.
Have to see a indepth review to know how it performs.
Hope asus has fixed their non-existent customer service situation, after some very bad experiences.

960M? Their website says 950M...With no TB3 as well, XPS is still at the top of my list, but I like that this laptop has more built-in ports (ethernet, miniDP, etc) to free up the type C. But 40Gb vs 10Gb/s...nah.

EDIT: Main page says 960M, Specs page says 950M with 2/4 GB DDR3...that moment when your normal ram is DDR4 and your GPU is DDR3 xD

The previous gen N series laptops were impressive. The market success of this nicely built new Skylake upgrade is going be decided based on its price. Considering more high-end ultraportable devices coming into the market, the price is going to be the deciding factor for a normal consumer.

I had already tried to bring it up on asus Australia site and there are no results, but just found it on the US site. I see what you mean, all confused now after reading the product spin they have in "Overview". But this is asus so no surprise there. I thought it bad enough with a 960m, but if they do have a 950m in it, I doubt it will give a good enough picture when trying to game in 4K as what they make out. But may be good enough for picture editing, et cetera.
They also make a bold, false claim, I thought the maximum throughput of a PCIe 2.0 x2 interface was 8 Gb/s (1 GB/s), yet they claim that their PCIe SSD is " twice as fast as PCIe® x2 SSDs" because it has a interface speed of up to 1500MB/s (50% increase). And I thought the slowest PCIe x4 interface was 16 Gb/s (2 GB/s) and this is only a PCIe 2.0 x4.
Why not have the newer and much faster PCIe 3.0 x4 interface (32 Gb/s (4 GB/s)), at least then you could upgrade the SSD at a later date (only say this because, after reading right through 3 times to check, no where do they say which version of PCIe interface they have except PCIe x4).
So now I am really confused. Are they talking theoretical (speeds I quoted above) or real world or just in their own little world?? Or am I wrong??
Needs better explanations and more details in specs.
Typical of asus, just like they have a useless link called "support" (sorry but personally dislike).
Plus being a asus, don't expect it to be cheap.
