To be fair, it asked which "class" of processor you wanted. So in truth I want an i3 class CPU in my machines, but I would rather prefer it to be an AMD chip. I think if you started mixing AMD and Intel chips, you would get a mess of answers rather than a broad measure of people's expectations.

Fair point, although with the mobile chips it makes very little difference, of course - Until you hit the top end parts the i7/i5 are the same as the i3's, just with turbo boost and higher base clocks...

Agree with some of the comments here that the questions are a little 'woolly' in places. But then this is not pure research, it's a marketing exercise - so they'll be asking questions designed to get them the answers they want to hear!

It may not be good maths but it makes commercial sense so fair play to them really. Plus they're giving away some free stuff so who am I to complain!

    I agree.
This wasn't really a complete and proper survey.
Even if it had been, I am sure that there would have been plenty of people who still would like to add further information. I definitely did with this one.
Example, after having several problems with big PC manufacturers in getting warranty claims dealt with, I find Gigabyte to be one of the better ones. I can even ring up a local Gigabyte office and talk to a rep or technician. This is a big thing in Australia because many just don't have any offices here, plus some (like asus) make it much harder to contact, and very slow and tedious to deal with (in one instance, it took over 1 year for a RMA replacement MBoard to be sent out).
So ease of contact and the level of customer service are really important considerations when it comes to which brand to pick.

This seems to be a good mixture of components combining to make a capable laptop which won't end up being a room heater. Plus it has good battery life at 8 hours for a gaming laptop.

Thanks to Hexus for this competition opportunity.

Why was the questionnaire removed? The competition is closed, but the questionnaire should have stayed open for a few months
