He probably just mis spoke.
He probably just mis spoke.
maybe.
we need stuff to talk about inbetween CAT5th finding the proper stories
everything is just hype, fud, embellished stories to make either side NVidia/AMD look bad/better until the 29th june anyway.
just treat everything said with a massive salt shaker of salt (its bigger than a pinch) in the meantime.

The Chinese price would equate to £212 but I don't know if that is with any taxes or not.
Edit!!
That is the shop price as it includes taxes.

Actual picture of a card on CH forums:
https://www.chiphell.com/thread-1606404-1-1.html
Seems to come with a manual which says it consumes around 110W and the person who has the card says he estimates the card hits 1.4GHZ when reaching the power limit of the board which is 150W.
He still has no drivers for the card.
Reference cooler doesn't look terrible either.
The latest leak:

The 3DMark score is around R9 390X level.
Interesting. Likely AMD are doing the same thing nVidia do - give out hardware and white paper info for reviews to write the bulk of the articles, then send out drivers to 'activate' the cards at the last possible instance so the benching occurs at the last minute and with the drivers in the best state AMD can get them in.
So earlier leaks are possibly from people modding older drivers to get some kind of result before AMD have given them the actual drivers (which presumably also only go to NDA signatories).
Chinese bloke doing some live testing of the RX480:

Right so final reference clock speeds of the 8GB card at least*:
Base 1120mhz
Boost 1266mhz
And the expected 2304 Shader units
Giving 5.16 and 5.83 GFLOPS, not that that's always a hugely representative figure for gameplay.

It looks like review copies are being tested now:
