    Something I didn't notice being pointed out:
    Surely if there if the fan is running on magnetic bearings there are NO mechanical bits in contact and therefore no wear so it should last for as long as the drive circuit lasts right?
    Also it should make exactly the same amount of noise in 10 years time as it does now which I think is pretty cool.

    Did you chase your email, resend it, make sure it didn't get rejected, or anything?

    Are you seriously condemning a highly reputable company on the basis that you were missing a little piece of sprung wire, or that your email didn't get through?
