It is better than people sitting with their heads buried in the phone... now they get around at least... besides been wondering if I should just go on the wave myself, could be fun even though I am 30+ hehe =)

It's not just Pokémon Go but all smart phone users that should be ignored.
Tried it and it's okay but feels like it lacks substance. Actually makes me want to go back and play the proper Pokemon games.
Giving people the motivation to walk around is good but if i saw someone on a walk in the lake district playing pokemon go i'd feel like you're missing out on something.
Eats battery, 3000mah munched in 2.5 hours!!! Crashes at busy times catching pokemon. Game freezes and requires regular restarts on our android device, works great in town but in the country side with poor signal and very few spawning pokemon it's a drag. Also found that all our local gyms had been captured by early players before release with high cp pokemon 800+cp, our daughter is 8 and has no chance at competing unless she grinds 3+ hours a day which will not happen, so think many will have to wait for addition features and better reliability before enjoying a better experience. If it was stable, reliable and more inclusive I see potential for broader appeal but as it is think a lot of users will give up if reliability issues are not addressed.
It's Geocaching for the dumb.

Wow I must be getting old. I think I'd get more fun spending the evening hammering a rusty nail through my left testicle and pouring lemon juice on it. I'm turning into my into my old man..... come to think of it he was always a bit weird!
I like the way she just presumes people have really horrific motives despite even stating herself that she has seen images of groups of people making new friends and enjoying it. Perhaps if she wound her neck in she might actually experience some of the same thing.
Ive downloaded it but havent really played it. I think Ill play it with the little one next time I see her (this weekend).
It's fun. It's nice and casual and hilarious to see all the people whinging about it. If this upsets you, please get a life.
Me and my girlfriend play it whilst walking the dog and I've seen plenty of people who are out only to play pokemon which I think is a good thing.
Steam - ReapedYou - Feel free to add me!!
I'm hooked and I don't even like pokemon I was always more of a Ben 10 kid
I was far too old by the time Pokemon arrived to love the characters, and the app is pretty barebones (plus it's far too unreliable). Even so, I think it's very worthwhile. The more familiar you are with your surroundings, the more likely you are to walk the very shortest paths, or even not to walk at all. Something that encourages people to look around and walk a longer route has got to be a good thing. It puts a smile on my face to see a group of people clumping around a spot and knowing why it's happening, and I like seeing strangers chatting to each other too.
I think it's good to get people out and adding a new social aspect. I'm quite impressed at how accepted it is, though it could be a bit of a fad that will die down. I haven't really seen the gameplay myself so I don't know if it'd be a bit too basic. It is something I could try out, but atm I don't have a 3g/4g connection paid for so won't bother . Plus my phone is pretty old too.
Indifferent would be an understatement.
Just had a quick look. Ironically, Pokémon Go is not available in Japan. I can just imagine the chaos it would cause if a rare Pokémon was to appear in Shibuya crossing or near Shinjuku station though
Its not available here in France yet and I never really understood the allure of Pokemon, i'm willing to give it a go if it works on tablets but it sounds sort of dull.
Well I would love to play it but I'm on Windows Phone and the pain is real
