QOTW: What tech would you buy with £500 to spend?

If I had £500 burning a hole in my pocket, I wouldn't be looking to spend it on tech. If someone gave my £500 on condition that I spent it on tech, I suppose I could find something to buy if I thought about it.

But it's a sum in that awkward zone of being too much to be a whim, but not enough that if I really wanted something, I wouldn't already have gone out and bought it.

I mean, my PC would do with updating, I suppose. It's some years old, after all. But, frankly, despite that it still works perfectly, copes with what I need it to do and replacing it would feel a bit like doing so for the sake of iy, not because I really need a new one, or even really want one.

Make it serious money (I.e. lottery jackpot scale) and I'm sure I could put a dent in it, but £500? I'd probably just stick it in a rainy day fund.

I'd buy another £500 then spend it on the Asus 34' Superwide Gysnc monitor that costs £1000.

I would like a new 7 or 8inch Tablet but don't know which way to jump yet. Waiting to see if anything new comes on the 4th in the Google announcements.

If I had £500 and it was on any type of tech,it would be either a Fuji XT10 or a Sony RX100 II as a more portable alternative to my dSLR. If it was more computer related,it would be a GTX1070 and some more storage for my PC.

An air conditioner and a ceiling fan for my bedroom. Or on the PC side of things i'd try and get a GTX 1080.

I would either put it towards getting my daughter a gaming laptop for her Christmas or upgrading the living room PC. How good has she been this year? Decisions, decisions.

I would probably go for a good 4K/UHD IPS monitor by LG, Benq, Asus etc and run it at 1080p until I build a 4K capable system.

Intel Core i7 6700K, be quiet! Silent Loop 280 and 16GB G.Skill Trident Z silver/red DDR4-3200 CL15 to bring my ASUS Maximus Ranger VIII in use.

I'd hang on to it until HDR Freesync monitors become available. Nvidia users had better get their kidney on ebay.

£500 no strings attached would be something I'd not buy normally. 3D Printer heads the list, although the suggestion of a Robo vacuum was an interesting one.
