Quadro M620?? Seems to be no mention of it on even the Nvidia site!!
It will likely be a very small upgrade over the M600 mobile chip. Actually the whole thing looks like a laptop shoved in a desktop case.
While I appreciate the small size for an 'under the tv' type device it's not exactly something I'd want to spend all day using doing CAD work... as it's severely lacking for larger projects imo.
It uses a regular socket 1151 chip and not mobile/laptop class hardware. While it's not a loads-of-threads Xeon E5 kind of workstation, it would easily keep with typical 'workstation' tasks.
I think it's a nice development, the vast majority of 'certified' workstations I've been though are just regular desktop machines with a token Quadro card that's barely any faster, if at all, than the CPU's integrated GPU. So might as well shove it in a small form factor and leave me room under the desk to spin around on the gas lift chair while I wait for AutoCAD to spit out pretty renders.
Their claim to be the 'first ever' is qualified to mean first among manufacturers shipping over one million units per annum, but one can certainly compare it to Compulab's Airtop machines released at the beginning of this year, e.g. the Airtop-W (link omitted due to post count, but have a browse of airtop-pc.com).
