A good few weeks after release as I'm laid back
Every time a new release comes out.
i tend to install the latest Beta driver from nvidia when available (unless a higher WHQL version is available)
Being a long-time Nvidia customer I had used the GeForce Experience software to advise me of updates and I'd generally updated to newer drivers whenever it was convenient and did it fairly routinely. Now, however, they've overstepped the mark with the requirement to register an email address and have started collecting more data that I'm happy to share, just to use a graphics card! So I'd removed GeForce Experience and therefore now only update drivers when it's clear that there is a bug or compatibility issue with a game I'm playing at the time. Nvidia's spyware has effectively stopped me from doing updates with anything like the frequency that I used to do. As a result, my next card is unlikely to an Nvidia product but I'm anticipating that my 980Ti will last me a while before I need to upgrade again, by which time AMD will have hopefully got their act together and release something compelling.
Almost immediately after a new release I guess. Unless I read that there's something wrong with it. But I noticed that usually those with problems are with a few generation old VGAs
Pretty much every time I game... With a new AMD 480 the drivers are still fairly new so I get almost weekly updates and I only game about once a week at the moment...
About a week after it's release to see if there are any problems.
i dont need to, i only have a rubbish ti750
