My i5 6600k is overclocked to 4.5GHz. 4.6 works but is slightly unstable (at least after the first 2 months).
Happy with it. As for GPU overclock, 390 not bothering at the moment.

Be Careful on the Internet! I ran and tackled a drive by mining attack today. It's not designed to do anything than provide fake texts (say!)
Yes, i5 3570k on 4GHz,
I didn't want to increase the core voltage and it crashed once when I had it at 4.2 so I dropped it down and haven't touched it since. In a couple of years, when it starts showing its age I might push it a bit further.
I would have loved to OC my e8400 C2D but sadly it had a dell motherboard with locked out BIOS if I could've overclocked that I might still be using it!
Yes, i7 5960X Oc'd to 4.0ghz
Can easily do 4.4 even but there really is no need to for my usage. I also game at 1440p and 4k where cpu clock speed is less of an issue, gpu's are doing most of the work.
CPU cost me a fortune here in Australia 2 years ago so it needs to last with mild overclock!
Stupid thing is I paid AU$1209 back in 2014 and it now sells for AU$1549. lol
Keep it cool with NZXT X61 Kraken in a push pull configuration.
Ripped off the fans and put quiet led fans on it. Have it set to only 50% fan speed at all times.
Idles 5c higher than ambient room temp and averages in the low to mid 40's in games, Highest I have ever seen is around 52c and that was in summer with room being 30c
Of course! i7 3770k at 4.5GHz, i5 4690K at 4.2GHz, and a R9 290X at 1080/1500 and R9 280X at 1100/1500 respectively.
4690K @ 4.7Ghz, 1.3vlts for the last 2yrs.
Only overclocked my CPU, an i5 2500k from 3.3 to 4.1 as that is all it can handle without drastically increasing the voltage.
God, the length of some of these posts oO
Yes.
I used to clock the nuts off my CPUs and GPUs but, nowadays, I can't be bothered. I don't chase benchmarks any more and it's been made so easy to do that the thrill of the challenge has waned considerably.
Yes I OC to gain performance FOC .

I have shamefully never OC'ed.
Things are fast enough for me, don't need it any faster.
I don't think i've ever owned a desktop CPU that hasn't been overclocked...
For my now elderly FX-8120, the overclock is the sole reason it can still keep up in modern games
For GPU's though, for heat/noise reasons i generally only OC them as far as they'll reasonably go on stock voltages.
My R9 390 OC was so rock-solid i've actually baked it into it's BIOS so i no longer have to set it via utilities... (1010/1500 to 1060/1600mhz)
Yes, ever since the days when I had an Athlon 650. I don't aim for ultimate speed, my main focus is on stress testing a build at different voltages and frequencies to check for any problems and to understand where the edge of stability lies. I use this data to ensure stability and optimise low power consumption on one machine that's on all the time, and to give good speed and stability on the other.
Currently a 2600K @ 4.5ghz.
My proudest was an XP2500+ (barton 1.83ghz) at 3.5ghz though, back in't day
Yeah there's always that point where you can't get more MHz without upping the voltage to a silly amount, that's where my CPU always sit. I've been doing this 10+ years and never had a CPU fail due to overclocking (I always use air cooling). As a gamer who likes to play the latest and most demanding games the hardware simply becomes obsolete before it ever fails.
