Blower cooler too.
Ideally if you have two monitors, you will wnat that they use the sabe type of cable to be connected to cg. Here we have three different ports.
But one slot cg are good for some usage scenarios.
The more you live, less you die. More you play, more you die. Isn't it great.
Hope the wiring to the fan is deifferent when it hits retail.
Hopefully the cooler is up to the job and we start to see single slot but powerful cards again.
Quite like it, reminds me of the 8800GT's!
Ooh, I'm impressed. It's nice to see some variation in the market again
With single slot cards, isn't everything underclocked and noisier compared to the double slot design ?
Underclocked, not usually - my low profile single slot 7750 ran at full stock clocks. Galax have done quite a few single slot cards, some of which have (iirc) been overclocked.
Noisier, on the other hand, almost definitely - the smaller heatsink needs lots of airflow to shift the heat, whilst the smaller fan generally means lower airflow at the same fan speeds - all of which is a recipe for very fast, very noisy fans.
And of course one side-effect of that struggle to cool the card adequately that's become more important over the last couple of generations is the effect it will have on actual boost clocks. Whilst the card probably will be specified to the same clock speeds as a stock 1070, most 1070s boost well beyond their rated specification. A single-slot cooler isn't going to dissipate as much heat, so there's every chance that whilst this card technically won't be underclocked, it'll never achieve the conditions required for peak boost clocks...
