""As the continuous shooting of higher-resolution images and adoption of 4K video with DSLR and mirrorless cameras increases, the inherent need for larger, faster and more dependable cards becomes apparent,"
In realistic terms: (Pick one)
-No-one is buying our cards so we're going to skip ahead
-Sales are falling so we're skipping ahead and making you pay more $$$$$
-Sales are stagnant so we're releasing the next step that's been planned for two years
Sick of companies milking people.
P.s. I magically expect, over the following days, for the other card makers to 'magically' announce their versions. Seriously... When are consumers going to wake up and smell the bull? These cards could have been released ages ago.
Will stick with my lexar professional cards for now cost me £24.99 for 64gb, they don't slow my cameras and copying at 150MB/s is certainly fast enough after a job, saying that my 95MB/s cards don't cause frustration if I end up using them.
