Hopefully, more aggressive than the overclock they've put on the cards...

As i commented previously my Sapphire 480 nitro+ is running at the 580 speeds already... Little disappointing. Saying that my 480 is a great card which keeps getting faster with each driver update.

Re: AMD Radeon RX 570 and RX 580 pose for the camera

Unless I am missing something here, apart from the fact it tips over the 6 TFLOPS mark, I imagine it would be more economically viable to just get a 480? I am interested in purchasing an AMD card for my son's budget build so I imagine once the 580 drops I'll be able to pick him up a 480 for a good price.

Re: AMD Radeon RX 570 and RX 580 pose for the camera

It depends....the manufacturing process may be more mature, combined with the 8 pin (instead of 6 pin) power means they may overclock better.

Guess we will see soon enough

We can't quantify or qualify these cards until we know the price.

Very true Graham, but I would surprised, even baffled if a 580 costs the same or less than a 480, maybe if the price is only £20 more than a 480 then it would be worth a purchase.

It should match or beat the 480 release price. If its £1 more, then its not even worth looking at.
480s will inevitably drop in price and if this the market segment for you, that would be the better buy without a shadow of a doubt.

For me the rx480 did run ok, but the noise is insane.
However i need something more powerfull than this little cards, so i do not believe it will be good enough.
I was hoping to see a fury x like powerhouse model with watercooling options.
So i will stay with the crappy 1070 i got now untill AMD releases a card capable of running 4k on my 32 inch monitor without sounding like a jumbo jet.
