I'd say FreeSync range is a far larger omission from the spec sheet. Response time specs are pretty much nonsense no matter what they say.

    Still:
    Non-TN panel? Check.
    Ultra wide 1440p? Check.
    FreeSync? Check.
    Tight (<2000R) curvature? Check.
VESA mount/non-stupid "tilt adjust only" stand? Check
    USB hub? Check.
    Plenty of inputs? Check.

If the FS range is wide enough for LFC to work (so a range up to at least 2x the lowest refresh rate possible), this is a winner. Heck, the price isn't even as horrendous as most of its competitors. If I had the money for a monitor in the next year or so, this would be quite far up my list.

Shame your card can't support industry standards. Time for an upgreade?

Aesthetically it looks good apart from the large bottom bezel and it is rather chunky looking round the back end.
The price is a problem, its to expensive.

Yeah, I was gonna say the thing looks as deep as a small CRT!

Big fan of curved screens though.

Re: Philips 34-inch 1800R curved 3440x1440 display announced

If there was a g-sync option then that would do me - but then there's the price. I just can't justify that sort of expense. I once bought a damn good 19" CRT for £300, but I don't think I've ever spent more on a monitor, and I'm not sure I could justify it. I'll stick with two screens for the time being, which isn't as good for gaming, but hey, that's a lot of cash.
