    Waiting to read reviews....if this doesn't grab me and scream "You need me" then I think this is the year I go sim only....

    For the incremental improvements I find the price of the current flagships prohibitive.

    ...I do want a soc with Bluetooth 5 on though

    I went sim only years ago, you won't regret it, regardless of whether you want to stay on the latest phones. Never understood why anyone would pay nearly double for a phone over a 2 year contract.

    On 3 the sim only deals are fixed price, whereas the full contracts go up with inflation. If you've got the cash to hand to get a decent phone initially, there's no reason not to go sim only
