" Nvidia's eGPU solutions will be certified, where applicable, for professional standards and applications."
Which means, "They'll cost a load of cash and sucker's will just love them!"
and in 99% of said apps geforce will work just as well but considerably less....
At the rate things are going if I want an external gpu I'll be buying a second pc because at the rate they're going it will be cheaper to buy a whole new rig minus gpu than buying an external gpu that is essentially a pcie extension card, a gpu, a psu and a box
Currently the cheapest eGPU enclosures are going for $290 which is pretty good considering when they first came out the market they were practically double that. Now that Apple has given it's blessing to eGPU prices should further come down but a Quadro will always be extremely over priced no matter what.

It's weird a site like Hexus has barely even covered eGPU at all other than news stories, even Youtube PC channels have been reviewing eGPU solutions.
