Yes I want one to replace my 980Ti, but I will wait and see what the board partners come up with.

Yes, I have just sold my r9 390 8gb on gumtree for £200, and am considering vega 56. Might wait a while though to see what NVidia brings to the table next gen.

No, I got a second hand R9 390 in February for not very much money (before the mining craze hit). That will be fine for a while longer.
I can relate, I also got an MSI R9 390 for a very good price before the mining craze. I will wait to see what Volta has to offer first then I will be able to pick the best card for my needs. Im still running a 2600k at 4.7Ghz. So hopefully by the time Volta comes out I will be ready to upgrade the whole system. Custom loop @ 26c idle and 42c loaded. But I said the same crap last year and didnt upgrade then. If Vega does good on water then who knows

Re: QOTW: Are you considering AMD Radeon RX Vega?

if the price and performance is right then yes i shall upgrade to the RX VEGA 64, due to freesync being alot cheaper and whatnot too .. it just all works out better than me buying a 1080ti and g sync for the money

Re: QOTW: Are you considering AMD Radeon RX Vega?

I have an R9 290X and the only issue I have with it is the heat and resulting noise from the fans spinning up to remove said heat. It seems fairly unlikely these cards will improve my situation in this regard.
For me, probably not interested, certainly not until we have more thorough reviews out there.

Re: QOTW: Are you considering AMD Radeon RX Vega?

No I am a minimum wage peasant, my GPU's will always be used and several generations behind ^^. This mining bubble really hurts, and I have seen some excitement from miners on expected increased mining, so a potential skyrocketing price will keep me well away.

Re: QOTW: Are you considering AMD Radeon RX Vega?

Yes, I've been waiting a whole year, whilst I've been using an ageing 7950. I've got a 2560x1440 monitor and i cannot power many new games in 'high' graphics settings with it. Additionally I the 7950 doesn't support freesync.

    No.

My 980Ti is more than enough for 1440p - can't see a GPU upgrade in my near future.

Re: QOTW: Are you considering AMD Radeon RX Vega?

Yup, in the market for a 1440p monitor and gpu to match so will see what sapphire et al make if the V56. Of course that depends on pricing/availability and what nvidia do in response as i'm no team player.
Grab that. Get that. Check it out. Bring that here. Grab anything useful. Take anything good.

Re: QOTW: Are you considering AMD Radeon RX Vega?

As I have 1080, there is zero reasons to spend such a money for a new card. I think I might be fine to skip next 2 generations (1140p@60) of cards.

Re: QOTW: Are you considering AMD Radeon RX Vega?

Entirely depends on benchmark results, availability and pricing (especially with miners becoming a complete pain in the arse pushing prices up). At this point in the year, it looks more likely I'll wait for Volta.

R9 285 still does everything I need, though I will consider when the prices are right..
