£400 for amoji is 'very' impressive. Having £400 and iphone 7 is good enough reason not to upgrade

There's no doubt that it's a nice phone. But is it a $1000 phone for me? Doubtful when the V30 and S8+ exist.

Not very. I don't actually mind Apple (or any company) going where other companies have already trodden, but it's when they come across like they are innovating it bothers me.

The think that made me chuckle was the "Tadaaaa" way they announced everything even though the entire internet already knew and had pictures and feature lists for weeks

If I seriously suggest I might spend so much money on a bloody phone, my wife will know I have finally completely lost it and have me sectioned.

Not impressed at all. The price tag and the features list simply do not justify each other.

I like that they finally went the OLED path, but only for the X version? Come on. The rest of the new features aren't that appealing to me.

Re: QOTW: How impressed are you with the Apple iPhone X?

Not particularly. The launch has eclipsed the iPhone 8 which seems to be a better buy for those using/upgrading from the six or earlier.

OK, you get the OLED screen, but you lose the fingerprint recognition and gain an extra button on the side for Siri.

I'll be interested to see what feature IOS 11 brings to existing users when it is on general release on September 19.

Full screen? Welcome to the club.
    Same old form factor? Yawn.
Some kind of file system? 2000 called, they want their functionality back.
Still no USB C (despite going all in on i on the Macbooks)? Really?

What the hell is Apple thinking?

Re: QOTW: How impressed are you with the Apple iPhone X?

I was as massively underwhelmed as usual when it comes to Apple products.

But just have a look at all the brand new tech Apple invented last Tuesday.

    • OLED!
    • A nearly bezel-less screen!
    • Facial ID!
    • Wireless charging!
    • Water resistance!

Why then am I so utterly unimpressed...?
