Whats with the new URL handling on the forum?
Ok, i know the people reading this are not the vBuliten team.
And, given that its PHP, one can assume that they are not developers i'd ever hire on my team (probably wouldn't trust them to make coffee, boiling water an all). but. which bloody moron thought, thats it, we've got our URL detection regex working flawlessly, so lets make it when using the quick reply box, that it perfectly parses it, and enters it as a hyperlink which has no text. FANTASTIC! The logic there is truely amazing. I've said it before, and i'll say it again, 90% of 'web developers' are utterly useless. |

Re: Whats with the new URL handling on the forum?
Yeah, the URL parsing is complete pants.
There is also the cases when you build the [url ] blocks yourself and it manages to futz it up becasue there is some spurious keyword it doesn't like. Bit like when you put "good" in a thread title o_O |
