    Rant: what is it with tech sites..

    Just tried to read to following article at tom's hardwarehttp://www.tomshardware.co.uk/2006/0...ghz_cores_uk/l but unfortuanltey i can't because my gullability and mindless drone cortex is malfunctioning and i noticed that to do so I would have to read 45 frikkin pages. Not 1 not even 6.. but 45 in 1 article. I don't want your stupid products and not seeing the adds becuase i blocked them 45 times in a row isn't going to make me change my mind its just aleinating your audience and frakking me off. Tech site like this (hexus your okay i can stand 5 pages) need to remember that good content is only going to get them views if its enjoyable to read.

    AMD3000+ ATIX800XL + GBNF44x mobo.. all at stock because they're good enough atm + CA A1 amp-->Mission 73S Loigtech MX1000 + 1GB ram + 1/3 TB HD array
    Wintendo XP + Linux (when it works) .. just incase you were wondering

    You need to knock the extra character of that URL off, otherwise, you get a 404.

    As for the article... at 45 pages, it is way too long for me to read cover to cover. Something would have to be really interesting for me to read all that. Even worse is when they don't provide a summary at the end!

    "Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."

    At least they break down the sections and give you links to it.

    TBH I would rather have an indepth report than something which barely scratches the surface - though I agree it probably could have done with some better formatting

    With saying that a good journalist or a tech review can bundel all they need to say into once full page or possible three just look at some of the hexus reviews.

    The article is boring but it basically covers the fact an Intel Penitum D 805 clocked at 2.66Ghz can reach speeds up to 4.2Ghz and still run Windows XP Stable., majority of the article goes on about water cooling and then testing the CPU. but the pages are not very long to read. I have the CPU and it runs 4.0Ghz fine on AIR, but you will need an Artic Cooling heatsink.

    Also Scan have the CPU for £83.73 inc VAT. and has been out of stock since last monday morning when I went to scan to get one and they said it was out of stock while the website showed it in stock

    I prefer things to be really in depth if its something I was thinking of getting. If Im just browsing I will just read the intro and conclusion. If you need the info its there.
