    Corsair M60 Mouse

I have mainly used Logitech in the past, the last one was a G5. They tend to last me a couple of years so not too bad.

Decided on a M60 based on some good reviews.

Looks are 10/10 (Aluminium chassis and rubbery plastic grip)
    Comfort 9/10 (Medium had size)
Accuracy 10/10 (Not much difference from the G5, but the button response is better)

Negatives are the sniper button it too far down the mouse. Also the gliders under the mouse pick up a lot of dust and need regular cleaning.

How is the software compared to logitech set point? I had the g5 and then changed to a sidewinder x8 because it was wireless but miss the settings in set point.

The software is basic, but gets the job done. Logitech is better IMO for software.

    Re: Corsair M60 Mouse

Hi! I've been using Logitech mice and keyboards. Lately I planned on getting myself M60 KB and mouse, as I'm playing more FPS than MMO games. So, about the sniper button, is it really inconvenient to use on regular basis? As you said, the button's too far down, has it helped you improve precise aiming at all?

    Re: Corsair M60 Mouse

I have the M60, I do agree that the "Sniper" button is to far down, however I don't and wouldn't use it anyway ... your DPI changer is far easier to manage and manoeuvre anyway (imo anyway)

I used an intelli mouse for 8-9 years and it took me a few days to adapt but absolutely love the mouse ...

Software wise, hmm not to sure I agree, I think it is actually easier to use Corsair than the Logitech.

    Re: Corsair M60 Mouse

Thanks Steve for the feedback. I was thinking that when I get to purchase this mouse, I wouldn't even gonna get to use the sniper button at all. But, whether the button is useful or not, it doesn't matter anymore, I'd still be getting an M60 mouse and M60 KB. With all those Logitech mice that I've been using, I think it's time to move on using another brand. I like M60's mechanical look. While everybody is going crazy with Razer products, I'd rather choose Corsair M60.

    Re: Corsair M60 Mouse

I use a G5, I was using a Roccat Kova+ for a while as I used to find the G5 to be too sensitive at first but decided to give it another try and have started getting used to it. I like the button layout and the software makes sense, I agree with comments about the position of the DPI adjustment buttons not being great but I tend to set differently profiles for different games so I set the DPI for each game when I do, plus I don't tend to use sniper rifles, I prefer SMGs and Assault rifles.

This G5 has lasted a long time, my next mouse might be a G9 if they are still making them when this one dies.

Ahh back in the days of the microsoft intellimouse with a nice laser beam that could take your eyes out. Brilliant mouse. But nowadays a Razer imperator does it for me, was converted ever since the Boomslang days when they came out with the first edition

Is the cord on the M60 braided or just ordinary? I'm quite niggly when it comes to cables

How do you hold it? I'm looking for a new one and was hoping for something that might fit my grip (changes depending on what I'm doing, but mostly in a sort of a claw)

I know exactly what you mean, I'm pretty sure you have a very similar grip and the mouse is perfect.
