Still a bit pricey in absolute terms, but when compared with other cards it's pretty good in relative price.

Seems nvidia have done it again with the GTX670. I don't understand why they don't make the cooler shorter though, they could make it 6.5" by the looks of things and then it'd be the best SFF graphics card!

Page 5 table underneath the FPS graph is mislabelled. Says the GTX670 is 34.4% faster than a GTX670...

I am finding it annoying that these cards have such inflated prices. In 2007 I bought one of the best cards on the market for around £200 and got myself an HD6950 for £185 12 months ago... now an equivalent card costs over £300, it is ridiculous. The HD6950 costs more now than it did 12 months ago, how is that acceptable?

I won't be buying another GFX until prices come down to acceptable levels no matter how fast the cards are, I can still play all my games at high settings with my 1920x1200 resolution.

Will be interesting to see what the availability will be like in a few weeks.
It sounds like the stock 670 will be less able than the custom ones, but once the lesser wafers has been moved the 680's wont have a market.
Looks like AMD are praying for stock shortages, so it will be interesting to see a price war develop, but I do feel for the people who bought a 7950.

I think if things plan out for me I'll be looking at the ASUS GTX670 DirectCUII and building a rig to be fast and quiet.

I'm really happy to see the recent trend towards lower power consumption and (especially) noise output from these high-end cards. I've seen quite a lot of green-bashing recently, which I don't really understand (I'm not a fanboy, I'm still using my Radeon 5870!). Here's looking to AMD to pull out another '5870' moment to get back into competition. It bodes well for the consumer if the price war continues in the mean time - as has already been mentioned, all of these parts are too expensive right now. I'm quite tempted to try to find a second 5870 to give me another year or two out of my current rig...

So the review sample they tested boosted upto 1084MHZ whereas the reference models on average are meant to boost to around 980MHZ??

Not enough is being made about this point in the press I feel. PCGH got a card that is 10% over what Nvidia says is the average boost? Should all the AMD cards just be overclocked by 10% in order to make the comparison fair? That is basically what's going on here, no two ways about it.

You just have to look at the benchmarks to see the scores aren't adding up to the stats. The press has been sent some EXTREMELY cherry picked cards this time around. There is simply no way this card should be that close to the 680.

Looks like the talk was right them about Nvidia releasing the 660 as the 680 due to the poor performance of AMD's offering, looks like this 670 is what would have originally been the 650.
Would love to see the uber card they had ready to be the original 680, the thing would be a beast.

Worked out very well for Nvidia, release a lower end card as there top product, win all the benchmarks and get huge praise for lower power consumption, Well done AMD you have done more for Nvidia this time around than they could have managed themselves

I agree with this as well, AMD has completely shot themselves in the foot with Tahiti which just isn't nearly as good as it should be. Their drivers are in the worst state I can ever remember, Nvidia is getting a lot of help from favourable benchmarks and generally favourable press and it's all added up to them winning comfortably this time around.

Make no mistake about it though, you should have been buying this 670 card for £200 not £400 so the last thing Nvidia fanboys should be doing is celebrating. I for one cannot wait to pick up my 7850 on the cheap in a couple of months - this has all been caused by AMD's top card and marketing dept being woefully caught short.
