For a quiet PC, wouldn't an Asus motherboard have been a better choice given that Gigabyte motherboards tend to have limited fan control options?

The Gigabyte board supports fan control via PWM as such it suited our needs perfectly, however we do have the option for the very popular ASUS P8Z77-V Z77.

    Best Regards

    I've found the opposite, actually.

Every Asus board up until my current one (GENE-Z) has had pants fan control - others i've owned being a CH4F and one of their 785G offerings.

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Re: Reviews - Scan 3XS Z77 Performance Q10

I have just received my 3XS Z77 I upgraded to i7 16GB of Ram and 7970 and even when gaming in Borderlands 2 I can't hear a single peep out it. Its amazing far quieter than either of my laptops when gaming and so powerful.

Only negative I have is the month it took from order to getting the machine.
