Bit disappointing really. For a lesser premium brand product than the Corsair H100, for it to be successful it either had to have better performance or be cheaper. Unfortunately it's both more expensive and inferior in performance.
If it was a bit cheaper than the H100 I'd have no problems going for this, but as it stands I think myself and most people would go for the 'better' brand in the Corsair.

3 1/2 score seems a little high for a product that is based on a concept that is to do two things. cool well and be quieter. This cools ok, but far from the best and is far from the quietest - yet costs more than products that are quieter and better at cooling.

If you have room in your case get the phanteks, I highly recommend it. Dead silent and as you can see it is the best cooler. But room in your case is key, the thing is huge, and it will cover most if not all of your ram slots so make sure all your is working before installation otherwise it will be a huge pain.

Were there any strange noises with this cooler? I recently used a H100 for a customer, and it tended to make "grindy" noises (pump motor, I believe). It seems a common complaint, to the point where you can buy a pre-made "fix" cable on ebay for the H100. However, even with the fix cable (you can DIY if you fancy making up your own cables), the noise came back after a while.

This rather put me off the H100, and so I'm wondering if this is a better choice? The load-noise levels didn't really leave me thrilled, but perhaps that could be solved with alternative fans or something?

This is whats putting me off these units, from what I read and see, either the pump is knackered, TTL hits his. others lay there pc on there side etc to get the air bubbles to move or make sure its running at 12v. After seeing the results of these units I think I will stick with my freezer pro 13.

With all the recent cases like the define r4 moving to 140mm fans, you would think that everyone would jump on 280mm for closed loop water cooling since there would be a clear performance increase and quieter performance.
Would slaughter the h100 too.

So my Arctic freezer 13 (air cooler) is far more quieter, and 1 degree warmer than this hugely expensive cooler.

Why would ANYONE buy this?

For my money the biggest problem is that they have used two dissimilar metals, copper and aluminium in the same loop. This is just asking for trouble as internal corrosion will soon take place due to galvanic corrosion even if they have used an inhibitor in the solution.
