4 stars? never, at £800+ for what is fairly poor performance for the price, this is a 3 star job all day long. And OPS 2 as a benchmark in your reviews? who suggested you bench that? Nvidia...lol

It is great when it comes to power consumption.
Power consumption is indeed better than I feared, but I can't help feeling a bit underwhelmed with performance, considering the hype and price. Not far off what I was expecting given what GK110 is though if I'm honest. Still, it has the advantage of only using a single GPU so should avoid the problems with some titles only using 1 GPU on release.
Price-gouging has started already. Its not even been an hour yet.

This product simply isn't designed to compete on price/performance.
You don't look at a Ferrari and say, "but it's only twice as fast as a Mondeo".
Luxury products such as this exist because there are people who are prepared to pay through the nose to get the very best.
Hardware.fr benchmarked the card twice - once cold and once hot, and found a massive difference in the performance between the two. This is worth more investigation because lets face it - the actual gaming performance of the card will be at hot temperatures.

Just as an FYI about the LuxMark, the OpenCL drivers are borked in the release/review drivers according to AnandTech, so they can only improve.
Will be getting a couple as soon as I can... For the compute not the gaming, although that's an nice bonus!
Why not get a 690/7990/680SLI/7970CF then?

Its actually funny that even review sites think it is very expensive. Even the GTX580 3GB didn't cost this much, and that was the same GPU used in the Nvidia professional cards too.
It does make me think how the GTX780 and HD8970/HD9970 will compare.
Hmm, I wouldn't mind a GTX TITAN, but the thing that's interesting me most is how well the 7970 performs, especially for a card that's available for <£300.
On the other hand, as noted in the article, the power draw and noise levels of the Titan are pretty darned impressive.

That is very interesting.
And there is a lot more to graphics cards than performance.
I'm sure the more value conscious will go for the CF/SLI option, although it's probably stretching it to call any of those solutions value for money.
You may not want to go down the multiple GPU route, you might think it's too much hassle, or too energy hungry or you might want to use a SFF case.
You might find the micro-stuttering and driver issues a pain.
On the other hand you might want to go really extreme and go for SLI Titans, where you simply couldn't match the performance using other cards.
You might just want to be able to brag to your friends.
Personally I wouldn't touch the Titan, but quite frankly I wouldn't even spend £300-400 on a 7970/680 either.
That doesn't mean that I judge those people who do want to spend huge sums on some uber rig. It's their money, their choice, their decision.
If people are prepared to pay then Nvidia would be mad not to take their money.
