ASUS A8V Deluxe S939 Wireless Edition Motherboard

Paired with low-latency memory and a high-end graphics card, ASUS' A8V Deluxe provides excellent performance right across the board. If you've set your heart on a power system and want the absolute best, ASUS' £90 A8V Deluxe Wireless Edition is a good a starting point as any. Recommended if S939 is right for you.

No one comented? Heres one for yas! Whats with the 25% CPU useage with a raptor? I have two in a raid! Thats insane... Not to mention the lan is threw the PCI buss... I'd of given this mobo a rating of 7 and Via a rating of 3! And to think people have been recomending this mobo to me... If it werent for this review I'd have bought this dam thing... Many thanks!

I wanted `to get this board I would like to overclock it to get more value and be able to justify loosing my athlon 1700 running stable at just over 2 gig

This board seems good lot of features good price etc.

So I read some reviews found at hardocp that the board cannot lock the pci/agp bus but Rev2 may do this so it will not screw up pci cards hdisks etc.

my basic point is " Is there a rev 2 board that locks the buses when tweeking the memory speed above 200Mhz ?" I ask as CPU City sell rev2 board but Scan email back after question if theirs was rev2 quote from John "no. rev 2 boards dont actually exist. yet" I have no doubt he beleives this and is sincere.

any Ideas ? thanks in advance hope this is not the wrong place to put this.

Yeh I may as well but if I can last out will probably wait till the end of Jan and hope for something to happen like cpu price drop as delivery could be late or difficult and I will not get much time to fiddle with my system also dont need to sort out problems with big upgrade this close to the holiday season..
