    Can an extra 1GB memory make a difference?

    Yes, it can make an already overpriced card more expensive!

    On that note, I see there are 1GB 650 Boosts available now which make the card slightly less pointless.

    Indeed, just a marketing gimmick it seems! An easy way to make 45 quid

    Doesn't BF3 (for example) adjust draw distances and suchlike for 2Gb cards compared with 1Gb versions? Doesn't give extra frames, but improves performance.

    Also, surely Skyrim should be in a 2Gb vs 1Gb benchmark? It's the single most responsive game out there for extra VRAM. Have a look at Anandtech's GTX650 1Gb vs 2Gb test;

    if BF3 is being played it seems more than 1.5GB can be used @ 1080P with AA and ultra.

    maybe hexus can do a `back to back` test with 1gb vs 2gb cards?
