First line, 'etailers' - is this a missing 'R' or a new word? E-tailer does sounds pretty good for online retailers...

So it's much like an american muscle car then- inefficient, cheap as hell in it's native country and probably won't last much longer than the warranty.

I can't take credit in having introduced this word to the world. It's a known reference for internet retailing.

Surely if you can afford the totally OTT system that would need a PSU with this kind of output you could afford to get a better quality one?

I think they're targeting the kinds of people who splash out on the headline components like CPU and GPU and then cheap out on the rest of their hardware.

Quite. and not to be confused with an e-tailor, (being a talkative over-energetic chap who keeps murmuring about the buzz while measuring you for a new suit.)

or thinking about it perhaps one of those dodgy folk sewing pockets into jackets for smuggling tablets through customs.
