you cant go wrong with msi cards, if I had the money to waste on a 1080ti this would be it
The comments were kinda weird. For instance, Deus Ex is by no means a good benchmark to measure how this will perform in other games - a lot of the ultra settings make practically no difference, yet add 5fps+ PER SETTING, at 4K, it's ridiculous.
And under Hitman, even though the card is pulling 80fps+, you say how it might be better suited for a 2K/144hz panel
They need to drop this fixed red plastic shroud colouring, in the age of RGB lighting they should just go for an all black aesthetic and let their customers choose a colour to match their builds.
..I have a windowed case and I don't want to see a red & black theme ruining my gun metal grey case and colour matched Mobo, RAM & cables.
..It's the main reason why I wouldn't consider this card.
Sorry but in 2017 the red & black theme is a cliché.
Remove the shroud, apply spray paint?
Very good review indeed and an impressive video card.
Wish it was within my budget though.
They have plenty of alternatives. Armor series for example have Black and White color. i have it for my Rx580.
They also have different color schemes. like Aero series that has classic nvidia black and green.
There is also
GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti SEA HAWK EK X
That has water cooler thats transparent+metal only with no colors
Why complain about their default branding when MSI has so many alternatives?
