I know it said 'standard ATX' next to dimensions, but given that it has a 135mm fan, can you guys just confirm that it is indeed a standard size PSU? Any info on noisiness or graphs of how fan speeds up vs increase in wattage?

Hi folks,
The PSU is 15cm wide, 18cm long (front to back) and 8.6cm high. This is a first look. We'll be taking the PSU down to a specialist labs and give the it the full treatment. |

buying a big psu can give you high performance of gaming, but you have a big bill to pay for it. I hope the 80nm will help saving energy, or maybe later the 65nm technology will be generally in use on graphic card.
I may get A g80 for myself if the vista launch before 2007. If after that, i'll have to compare the g80 and R600. Beside that, i think this psu looks pretty good. But i'll only need it if i'm gonna set up a g80 sli system. |

i noticed with alot of psu's now they include a 3 yr warranty, this is obviously a selling point for the company, but no one ever talks about where you have to return it to if it goes wrong, take the corsair for example 5 yr warranty really good but you have to post it all the way back to california which is going to cost a minimum of £30 and then you probadly have a 3 or 4 week wait as you either ship it by plane or boat (boat takes alot longer but costs less) kinda making the 5 yr warranty worthless imo.
It would be nice if hexus could include this in reviews they do of items. |
