Bristol Meet - 19th May?

Seeing as there's quite a few people interested in a Bristol Meet so I thought I'd bring it forward a month or so.

I've changed my mind again... Date is now back to...

19th May I promise I won't change my mind again

Bristolians: I need the following:

Pub for meeting in that serves (reasonable) food. Weatherspoons type

Something to (plan to) do for the afternoon

Evening entertainment for all those who might be interested.

Who's in? (me!)

I would be interested as I missed the milton Keynes event and feel I owe agent a drink.

I may be able to help with accomodation for those traveling from out of town also

For meeting - thats a little tricky as the main station (Temple Meades is not in the city center) and is probably a £7 - 10 tax ride from the city center.

There is a reasonable ammount of night life ranging from comedy clubs to hardcore drinking clubs. There are a few pub crawl type maps around Bristol

I'll be driving anyway so can prolly pick some people up from the station on the way through.

Comedy club for the evening sounds good though... Not sure if I'll be staying overnight or just leaving late.

You've got the Commercial Rooms on Corn Street, which is a Weatherspoons pub. There are plenty of other pubs and bars on the same road, including a Walkabout where the food is reasonable. Running roughly parallel to Corn Street is Baldwin Street which has Jongleurs Comedy Club upstairs and the Stonehouse bar downstairs.

Other than that, you're looking at the usual selection of pubs, bars and clubs you'd find in a city centre.
