    Woo can't wait

..to meet more of you guys! I'm now fully rested up from December at MK, and I'm itching to get out again (preferably not quite that far though, it costs me monies I don't have much of )

Soo.. the next mini meet. It was tentatively scheduled for sometime this month, am I right in thinking some point in the week beginning 24th?

Also, (directed more at Rai this time) when were you planning (roughly) on the south-west meet (cardiff?)

    I'm practically hopping about here

    well yes.. ish...

but at £3 to get into town (if the company doesn't put the prices up like they reckon they are) and a walk to the train station to get the train to doncaster, sheffield or piccdilly to get another train to get to a meet....

so £6 one bus to town and back
£26 for a return to piccadilly which isn't exactly far... (last time i went on it)
however much money on another train to the meet

par example: to get to milton keynes:
    Code:
Station Arr Dep Travel by Service Provider
     SCUNTHORPE 06:00 Train TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS
DONCASTER 06:38 06:54 Train NATIONAL EXPRESS EAST COAST
LONDON KINGS CROSS 08:41 08:41 Tube*
LONDON EUSTON 09:17 09:17 Train VIRGIN TRAINS
     MILTON KEYNES CENTRAL 09:47
the price would be a staggering.......
    Code:
    	        STANDARD OPEN SINGLE £106.00

    		FIRST OPEN SINGLE £159.00

    	        SAVER SINGLE £82.70
and thats only for singles... cos for some reason return is unavailable
so before i've done anything i've forked out £200+ on transport for the day...

and even if i did the bus would probably crash or brakedown(they always do around here )
or someone would nick the copper from the signals and i'd end up missing a train...

Even with a YP, that is still extortion

And they tell us to use public transport
    Unhelpful posts:
    • Replying with "This" to someone else's post
    • When a product has a known flaw that's posted about all over the web, posting "But mine works fine guys"
    • Asking a question that's been covered many times - use the forum search first

    Re: Woo can't wait

Aberdeen -> London Kings Cross - £35 single. bargain. but thats booking a couple of month is advance.

It was £108 return when I was down a couple of weeks ago, much cheaper than flying and a lot less stressfull

so £6 one bus to town and back
£26 for a return to piccadilly which isn't exactly far... (last time i went on it)
however much money on another train to the meet

par example: to get to milton keynes:
    Code:
Station Arr Dep Travel by Service Provider
     SCUNTHORPE 06:00 Train TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS
DONCASTER 06:38 06:54 Train NATIONAL EXPRESS EAST COAST
LONDON KINGS CROSS 08:41 08:41 Tube*
LONDON EUSTON 09:17 09:17 Train VIRGIN TRAINS
     MILTON KEYNES CENTRAL 09:47
the price would be a staggering.......
    Code:
    	        STANDARD OPEN SINGLE £106.00

    		FIRST OPEN SINGLE £159.00

    	        SAVER SINGLE £82.70
and thats only for singles... cos for some reason return is unavailable
so before i've done anything i've forked out £200+ on transport for the day...

and even if i did the bus would probably crash or brakedown(they always do around here )
or someone would nick the copper from the signals and i'd end up missing a train...
£32 return by coach if you don't mind the 3.5 hr journey time. Always a good option to the trains
