Stick me down as a 50/50 for the time being and I'll explain why.

My Birthday is on the 23rd.

As such I'll be expecting people to want to do something to celebrate and chase a few lasers while listenining to repetative techno music in a darkened room.

Not only this, but I don't really want to spend some time away from the little 'un atm. You can all call me the softest sod in the world, but seeing her smile and do stuff is well worth not going out and getting drunk (something I've not done since Nov last year I'll have you know)

I'll have to discuss with the missus about her dropping me off, picking me up and other things so I'll let you know in a few days

as for the games, is it likely that COD4-2 will be on the list?

how much is the entry fee for the LAN?


the others, i'll see if i'm lucky in my skip diving if not i'll need a trip to GAME, and thats why I need to sort out my money first. just have to hope that they have the right ones on their 2 very small shelves instore. used to be a 30 ft wall and 2 units in the middle of the store for PC games, now its 2 measly shelves.

Yep I am sure that Modern Warfare 2 will DEF be on the list

Entry fee the for lan, oh god I really cant remember off the top of my head, £30-£40 iirc?

Also for games, check your local gamestore if not get them off there site

as for the PC weighing contest, mine is 16kg and is an alumiunium case with a plastic front. it would be more if i hadnt taken the steel door off the front.

For a 3-day LAN, it's usually £35 if you pay early, £45 later. That's assuming there haven't been any price hikes from Uttoxeter. COD:MW2 is almost a certainty as mentioned, if not the current one will definately be. The last LAN which lasted 4 days, I think only I played multiplayer games (in addition to Plants vs Zombies! ): -

Left 4 Dead
GRID
COD4
TF2

The other games I remember being played were: -

Supreme Commander (epic 8 player games that ended up turning into a slideshow)
Company of Heroes
Sins of a Solar Empire
UT3
COD5 (purely for the Zombies mod)
WOW (yes, seriously!)

Other games that could come up are: -

Comand & Conquer: Generals + Zero Hour (usually Rai and Guy playing this)
UT Anthology
BF2 (All unlock mod)
BF1942 (Desert Combat mod)

Hmm, probably. When the original demo came out at the beginning of the year, it was popular. Thing is, with CoD:MW2 as well, I think it'll be a case of "one or the other" for most people.
