Advance Meet WARNING - February 3rd, Milton Keynes

Merry Christmas everyone! (i've had no internet, and santa hasn't sent me any... so I thought I'd say this now while i'm testing out dads shiny new laptop)

Put this in your shiny new calendars that you've just got for Xmas... Mine has Black Cats on it. anyway...

Next Hexus Meet will be the (Saturday) 3rd of February in Milton Keynes, so this will be a months notice for all you that need to organise travel and flights etc.

Plan will be basically the same as last time, without the patented shopping... we'll find something else exciting to do.

We will meet in a pub late morning for lunch, then move on at 3 for an activity of sorts, then out in the evening. (possibly arrange something friday night if there are a lot of people around)

I'm gonna scope out some hotels for you, but anyone in MK / surrounding that can offer crashing space (unfortunately, mine are all called already) please put up your hands.

We've found that flights are good for those coming a long way, but otherwise MK is an Hour by train from London Euston and Birmingham New Street and we are just off the M1 / M40 London Luton airport is 1/2 an hour away (I can pick people up if needed)

I can do details this time... So watch this space (Ade, darling, could you do the honours?)

    So who's (provisionally) in?

i'll see how things are looking at work when i get back. If it's clear i'll book some time off and get flights organised.

Might actually take an extra couple of days and go see a friend in London too.

prolly wont be able to make this one unfort. but ill keep my fingers crossed, depends on how the monetary situation pans out. I've got Jen's ball middle of february, oop nord, so thats 130 squids :S ill eye up the flights to MK and scope some prices.

Rai, does your couch still have a bed in it? might be useful for persuading Jen , if your offer still stands that is!

    Steve:
Offer still stands. the sofa bed, is still a sofa bed (last time I checked)
Can pick you up from luton too if you need a transfer.

    Pub location:

Meet at 11am in Secklow 100 on Midsummer boulevard.
If coming by train, come out of the station and walk straight up the road.
It's on the right somewhere... I'll get the map at some point.

Choices of activities: Bowling, Ice skating, shopping (obviously), skiing/snowboarding in xscape and Airkix for the adventurous: http://www.mkweb.co.uk/places%5Fto%5...e.asp?ID=34849

Dinner, there are loads of places to go, but I think the chinese buffet would be a good place for all you boys! £15 for all you can eat.
Or there are plenty of other places in the theatre district, depending on numbers I'll book somewhere or make that call on the day.

Going out: (more of an old man night this time, we'll stick to the pubs and bars) Moby I'm sure will head up the fuddy duddy brigade here.

Ade - if it's your birthday we've got to get messy, messy and messy indeed.

    Yes, actually it's actively encouraged!

This is why we set timings for things, and closer to the date we'll give you a mobile number to ring if you wanna catch up.

We know that not everyone wants to do everything so we're planning lots of things that everyone could join in with!

    Spread the word peoples!
