Well it runs in fits and starts. You can sit there for an hour or two and very little will happen, turn away and it'll be flooded by chat. It's just a way for Hexites to socialise in real time and get to know (and dislike) eachother in person.
You may find it takes some input to get something out of it, turn up say hello and try and start a conversation rathe rthan just leaving when no-one replies in a few seconds. Life in IRC runs at it's own pace and cannot be forced, things happen only when everything is right for them to occur
