Blank links
The new way web page links are auto-texted doesn't work when the web page doesnt have a title.
eg: here If you quote the post you can see the [url] thing but there is no text in the bit you are meant to be able to read. |

Re: Blank links
There has been a couple of weird cases where certain pages or words would not create valid links. The threads disussing them is probably in this forum somewhere

Re: Blank links
Untick the "Automatically retrieve titles from external links " option under your post.
Otherwise if the title of a page is blank then the text will be replaced with blank. My suggestion would be that Hexus make this unticked by default, rather than ticked as at the moment. |

Re: Blank links
I'm also having this problem - I guess you don't get the options when you use the quick reply.

Re: Blank links
Yup, not there is the quick reply.
I'm amazed that the code to do this doesn't actually check to see if it is going to return a dud link. Thats going to be another three lines of code. there is a really sloppy developer out there. |
