Another URL parsing bug
Add this to the list ever growing list.
It can't handle extended characters in <title> blocks. for example '€' gives you '€' instead. |

Would be good chap if you tried to think before you post - we are a pretty damn busy company and work our asses off day and night to make sure this place stays open, fresh and good for all that use it. |

Re: Another URL parsing bug
I'm sorry for the posts, I just think it is a fairly fundamental part of the forums that kept breaking for many people and had been reported and discussed at length in the past. If it was a simple case of turning it off so easily then I can't see why it was left so long.
The second comment was aimed at the developers, who I assumed weren't you guys. I assumed it was a third party module released to the vB community. I apologise unreservedly for my harsh and unthoughtful comments. Neil |

We only realized how to fix this when we were working on an off line set of code for the next generation HEXUS.community. |

Re: Another URL parsing bug
I think the reason it has been brought up so many times is also because it stands out like a sore thumb when it doesn't work.
Hexus forums seem to be one of the few I'm registered to on which everything works, and is there each time you want to look at it (unlike certain other sites which take coffee breaks whenever they feel like it). And what's this about a 'next generation of the HEXUS.community'? |

Re: Another URL parsing bug
Yup, and for that we are thankful. Its just the contrast between the rest of the rather good (and continually improving) site and the minor bugs that make people complain
