    New forum bug reporting

    Pop them in here.

    General feedback should not be posted in here, but instead here: New Forum - your thoughts

    Known issues:

    • There's a bunch of style tweaks that need to be done, largely due to a three-way merge I had to do in a bit of a hurry. Luckily I have a peon to deal with that sort of thing (hai Jon!)

    Fixed:
    • An HTTP 500 error when searching - no other pages should 50x so let me know if they do - please include link and what activity you were doing.
    • The calendar (which has been broken since Jan 1st 2011) needed its end range updating. Only took 16 months to sort out...
    • Post Thanks now re-enabled.
    • Mobile style fixed and updated with our logo. Should be usable now although it's slow to scroll on my HTC Desire (Bravo). It's either complex CSS or an overcomplicated DOM - blame vBulletin for that though.
    • Fixed signature positioning and spacing
    • Ad placement in QR box fixed - may still get tweaked further.
    • System specs now back in place - enjoy.
    • Forum actions -> mark forums read - now works properly.
    • We're back on all servers.
    • Search index is now rebuilt, so that should all work properly now; let me know if it doesn't. There's no way it should've taken days, but there were bigger fish to fry than fixing that, seeing as the performance of everything else was fine.

    PHP Code:

    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Re: New forum bug reporting

    Because you wrote bad rss plugin code! Fixed for now, although the search index needs rebuilding so search is mostly useless until that's finished.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Ads in reply box.

    Main forum page on my iPhone is strange, text appears in a sliver down the right side, a click then takes me to a proper mobile layout, seems like the first page isn't the mobile version.

    Re: New forum bug reporting

    New posts -> Most (maybe any, not checked) forums with an image are being cut off at the bottom.

    You can't write a reply and hit tab to move to the 'post' button and then press enter. This slows my posting-fu down

    Not a bug, but the names could really do with being bigger for users.

    Agent, you know you can hit alt+s to quick reply, right? You're right about tab though - looks like the new editor catches tab and doesn't pass it upwards.

    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Re: New forum bug reporting

    Notifications drop-down box is huge on my screen, and just shows "inbox" in the middle of a huge white gap.

    And as Agent said, can we have bigger usernames?

    Also, why is there such a big white gap beneath each post, before the sig? I don't remember that being there.

    EDIT: Another one: on the search results page, the sponsored forums with a logo, e.g. 3XS, don't show properly - the bottom is cut off.

    Firefox doesn't seem to be happy with the alt+s; That's the shortcut for the history dropdown. Seems to pick it up on Chrome though (although I didn't know about it, no ).

    Seems a rather RSI inducing combo to have as default.

    I can't see the ad so I can't tell you if it's an ad bug placement issue...

    We have said that above - we will be doing a nice change, fear not.
