    Heavy artifacting in the Hexus logo?

    Just looking at the forum masthead: http://forums.hexus.net/images/hex11/logo.jpg

    Seems really horribly compressed (especially if my screen is slightly tilted) - sure you could crank the quality up a little bit!

    It's saved at JPEG compression 90 so I doubt it's that. Is it not just the reflective-ness of the rendering?
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    The logo looks perfect to me and really high quality ??

    I know sometimes if an internet connection has gone slow or for some reason a site is taking ages to load images can look extremely compressed, maybe a cached copy you have mate?

    Yep, cache did it! Must have been some tethering.

    Say again? This thread was 4 months old and as the op said it was a cached copy that was causing the issue, there is virtually no compression at all on the logo.
