Hadn't there used to be....
...a little Hexus logo in the address bar pre-nuke???
Nothing major, its just a nice feature that used to be there and I'm missing it loads

It's still there. Unfortuantely Internet Explorer's favicon support is flaky at best so it's practically impossible to get it to retrieve it if it has decided to stop. One potential method is to clear your IE cache, history etc then remove the favourites link to Hexus and re add it. It doesn;t always work but sometimes you get lucky.
Anyway, the answer is it's still there, your browser is just being a pain
