I'm loving the Linux bashing, and I say that as somebody with a Linux laptop and a Linux Media Centre (neither of which are dual boot with Windows).
However, for actually getting some work done... Windows XP X64 tbh. |

getting what work done, specifically?
i haven't used windows for actual work (programming, word processing, video eding, blah blah blah) for *years* but it's the best option for games right now |

Work in the sense that when I've finished working I can fire up the CnC 3 demo without having to reboot or move seats

This would be so much more difficult with Linux. For a start, Linux doesn't so often come in a box. I know what you mean about Linux not crashing, though - it's hard to make an OS crash when you're not running anything particularly stressful or important on it.
