    Offroading with Nick!

At the Mario Kart launch event, Mercedes were daft enough to let Nick loose in a GL320CDi worth £60,000... which he then took around an off-road proving ground... scaring himself and his passengers more than a few times!
    Watch the show.

and next week - Nick in a Bowler Wildcat driving like he normally does..

why wasn't nick dressed like mario? it was the mario event.

i noticed nick say, do i have to pay damages, instructor said yes, and at end of video there was a brake wear light - question is how much were the new brakes?

I was thinking they'd let him loose in something like an AMG tuned CL or something and he'd ditched it into the gravel trap by the title

I'd love to do something like that.

Looked like loads of fun, especially as it isn't your vehicle. I doubt they could charge you for the brake wear though; after all I bet loads of people have abused it before Nick got a hold of it.

I've done a similar thing in large Jeeps which was rather fun.

My dear mother accompanied me to the event, and the Jeeps share the same 3l V6 Diesel that was in that Merc. The course was similar but in an old quarry, and my goodness it was fun. Oh, and the on road section wasn't too bad either - foot to the floor in first gear? why not

Wow, looks fun, TBH I wouldn't want to drive that, nor be a passenger ...

Was that the free one last year? I did it too if it was that one.

I had a load of fun at it, getting to rag a jeep on road and not be too worried about paying for the fuel

Yup, so called Jeep Experience day.

Which one did you go to? They were meant to be pretty similar, I ended up doing the one in Peterborough.

Was definitely worth the time it took to get there

yeh, i went to the one in chepstow last year - was a great day !!!

Not heard an ounce about it this year. was an awesome day, must have cost them a lot to set it all up ... to show a lot of people who really didnt look like they would be buying a jeep any time this decade.
