Part 3 is where we get into the guts of the system, rip it out and start rebuilding with the Quiet PC stuff.

Gotta say I'd have never thought of manually stopping fans and then turning the power on, might have to get my hands dirty one weekend.

Re: Pacify Your PC - Part 2: Where's the noise?

I like it. Some basic good advice, not learning much myself yet, however it's nice to see you covering the basics.

I personally would like to see 2 or 3 different aftermarket CPU coolers on show to demonstrate e.g. what £10 buys you, £20, £30 etc however i'd understand if you can't (since i guess it's not a review or comparison video as such).

Nice one. BTW Nick, you're developing quite a fair 'on camera' presence that's still lacking in a number of other 'gadget' video reviews. You might make a pro yet....

Edit: PS It's a shame that the videos aren't getting more response in these forums, i think Hexus TV is a good idea.
I hope that Hexus finds it worthwhile and viable, i'd hate it to stop.
Are you able to post how many people are streaming it? (ballpark)

System as shown, plus: Akasa 965 HSF. Griffin Powermate that pulsates blue! Solid oak computer desk.
Diamondback Razor. Logitech media keyboard. Western Dig HD Media Player. An AC-S1 R2 on the 3870. Netgear DG834N router. Acer Aspire One netbook.
Creative I-Trigue 3450 driven by an Audigy 2. External 160GB and 500GB hard drives. 1 happy me. 1 not so happy me's wife.

well you can slow molex powered fans down... you just need to undervolt them by fiddling with the molex plugs and giving them 7v instead of 12v...

and shouting bang can be such a classic

lol u know what, if u gave us advance knowledge on stunts like that in future then im sure we wud go for some kind of charity stunt lil off topic but its all worth while!

Once this series is done i think a proper round up with additional references could prove a vital source for the forums and more importantly the public!

That's what those little resistor thingies were for.

We'll be replacing the stock coolers on the 8800's in my machine in one of the upcoming shows in the series.
