Looks pretty damn nice, tho I wish games makers would release full-resolution high-bandwidth videos as well! It's hard to tell exactly how ground-breaking the graphics/effects are from low-res flash-style vids.

We have a higher resolution AVI - which we are looking to release as a DivX file

... This is not a "low quality" flash style video... ....

Sorry David, didn't mean to suggest this was the level of youtube etc, it's much better than that! I'd just love to see a Hi-Def version of the video!

RE: "We've got more in-game Crysis footage that'll take your breath away"

    Keh? Define more?

How about "We've re encoded the Crysis fly through footage you've seen before, it's crisp but very deja vu"

Good to see you guys taking the time to re-encode but is this a pattern? How about ensuring the videos are encoded well at the start? It'll save your bandwidth in the long term.

    Does look fine though...

    Crysis specs

    Hi

How long till we start seeing some hardware specs to go with the game? Are they really keeping it Vista only (last I heard).

I just got a new laptop ( Dell M90 T7600 2.33, Quadro FX 3500M 512mb, 2gb ) and while it can play HL2 EP1 at 1920x with everything maxed and smooth as butter, I wonder how it would handle this new engine.

Another question? Is this footage DX10?

So what's the thoughts on this?

From what they said at the last interview the game will run on 'moderate' hardware, so you should be easily above the min specs.

Footage is DX9 according to the same interview.

    Looking good, hexus.tv strike again

You can get an HD version from Azureus/Zudeo. Just do a search I can't post the link as I'm new!

The player doesnt work at all in Opera... Its a good thing I have Internet Explorer 7 for these times of ugency Any chance of a download of each video appearing sometime soon? I ask because although i'm on a high bandwidth connection at the moment at uni, as soon as I go home my current ISP I use is useless for streaming content. Its easier to download a video rather then watch as it streams and buffers. An RSS feed of hexus.tv would be awesome as well.

Actually this is not the same footage - it's the same game demo, but was recorded again using much better equipment at 720p HD resolution. We will be putting that version up shortly...

I'm loving hexus tv! I'm not sure I like the look of Crysis though. I think the whole tree shooting thing looks cheasy .

    With love and many thanks,
